During a Select Board meeting on February 11th, 2026, the Select Board voted to post all Town Roads effective Sunday, February 15^th at 12:00PM.  The posting will be lifted when the Road Commissioner and Select Board determine that the roads can be traveled on with full weight without causing damage.

 

During the period of posting, with few exceptions the Town is restricting heavyweight vehicles with a registered gross weight in excess of 23,000 pounds from traveling over the Town Roads unless they are solidly frozen, or the vehicle is empty.

 

As per the “Posted Roads” Ordinance - exemptions may be requested on a case-by-case basis and may only be approved by the Select Board at their Wednesday night meetings.
