My name is Jula Koehling, I grew up in Phippsburg and I have enjoyed working with the town and community. I took over the position of Animal Control on July 1st, 2021. Since then I have seen lots of wonderful animals. I have worked on the stray and feral cat population in town. While this is not a quick nor easy task, I feel progress has been made. I appreciate all who have reached out with support, questions, problems and concerns.

Please call Sagadahoc Dispatch at: (207) 443-8201(Ext #1) with any and all animal control concerns.

Phippsburg Residents:

Maine’s Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory confirmed that foxes in Sagadahoc County have tested positive for rabies. Rabies is common in wild animals in Maine. Make sure to never touch an animal that is wild or unknown to you. You should also make sure your animals are up to date on rabies vaccine. For more information on rabies, please visit www.maine.gov/dhhs/rabies.
